It all began in 2021 with a message that introduced us and, very soon after, brought us face to face in the chaotic streets of wonderful Paris.
After a first date studded with unforgettable moments — a dash through the rain even though Marcello, our resident 'weatherman', had promised glorious sunshine, and a broken wine glass (his doing again, of course!) — we never let go of each other.
At first we lived between two flats, then we decided to merge our two homes into one, and that is when we truly got to know each other in the little things of everyday life: mugs of tea left all around the house and socks turning up in the most unlikely places.
A lot happened during our Parisian years: one of us found their true passion and career, the other earned a demanding but deeply rewarding PhD. In the meantime we travelled, swimming over the coral reefs of the Maldives, racing along on a tuk-tuk and winding through the narrow roads of the Scottish Highlands.
All of this made us grow together and share incredible moments. Over those years the idea of a big change of life took shape inside us, and in 2024 we moved even further away, to the magnificent and freezing Stockholm.
Here a whole new adventure began. We put ourselves to the test once more and adapted our lives to a new home and a new environment, always knowing we had each other by our side.
We settled in straight away: the harsh temperatures (our 'weatherman' still gets excited about -15°C!) and a strange but entertaining language. We fully embraced Swedish culture, different from our own and yet something we fell in love with immediately.
Little by little we laid the foundations for our future life. Our family has since grown with the arrival of our furry friend Merlino 🐱. We took the big step of buying our first home, and now we have reached the long-awaited moment of saying "I do"!
We cannot wait to celebrate it with every one of you, who have made our journey to this day even sweeter and more memorable. We are ready to begin one of the most important chapters of our lives.
